Spatial, Temporal, and Spectral Aspects of Far-Field Radar Data

چکیده
We develop a linearized imaging theory that combines the spatial, temporal, and spectral aspects of scattered waves. We consider the case of fixed, distributed transmitters and receivers, and a general distribution of objects, each undergoing linear motion; thus the theory deals with imaging distributions in phase space. We derive a model for the data that is appropriate for any waveform, and show how it specializes to familiar results when the targets are far from the antennas and narrowband waveforms are used. We use a phase-space imaging formula that can be interpreted in terms of filtered backprojection or matched filtering. For this imaging approach, we derive the corresponding point-spread function. We plot examples of this point-spread function for three different geometrical placements of the transmitters and receivers. Special cases of the theory reduce to: a) Range-Doppler imaging, b) Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) and Spotlight Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), c) Diffraction Tomography or Ultra-Narrowband Tomography, and d) Tomography of Moving Targets.

Hyperspectral Images Classification by Combination of Spatial Features Based on Local Surface Fitting and Spectral Features
Hyperspectral sensors are important tools in monitoring the phenomena of the Earth due to the acquisition of a large number of spectral bands. Hyperspectral image classification is one of the most important fields of hyperspectral data processing, and so far there have been many attempts to increase its accuracy. Spatial features are important due to their ability to increase classification acc...

Acid and saline seeps are an increasing problem in most parts of the World and Australia as well. They are areas of bare soil or reduced crop production. Recent laboratory, field, and remote sensing studies have explored the use of visible to short – wave infrared (VIS- SWIR; 400-2500 nm) reflectance data for characterizing the mineralogy of mine wastes, surface mineralogy of acid-saline affect...
متن کاملSurface M2 tidal currents along the North Carolina shelf observed with a high-frequency radar
[1] Surface tidal circulation over the continental shelf of Duck, North Carolina, was explored using surface current observations measured by a high-frequency (HF) radar. The Ocean Surface Current Radar (OSCR) was deployed at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Field Research Facility (FRF) in Duck, North Carolina, during 1–30 October 1994 and measured surface current at 20-min intervals a...
